An autopsy has been ordered in the death of a 31-year-old Austin man who was struck by a train while walking on the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe tracks near Buckholts Friday morning.
David Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Andy Isaacs, according to Sheriff Chris White.
White said train personnel report they sounded an air horn and activated emergency brakes after observing a person walking in the middle of the tracks, but the victim did not move off the tracks.
White said the victim appeared to have been staying with a friend in Cameron.
