The Milam County Junior Livestock Show Baked Goods Silent Auction is set for Saturday at the Youth Exposition Barn from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The 4-H and FFA youth work hard on baking amazing pies, cakes and cookies and would love the community’s support in purchasing their items.

Businesses, organizations, families, friends and individuals are welcome to come and purchase these baked goods after the awards on Saturday. All bids will start at $50 per item and there are no restrictions on maximum donation amount.

New this year, groups can pay with one check for all baked goods. Also new, if your family member’s item is purchased and you would like to donate and add on money to those youth, you may fill out an add-on sheet at the silent auction. Add-on money can also be given to youth by organizations/businesses that would like to support

the youth like we do for livestock at the sale.

Please come and support these wonderful youth and grab a sweet treat as well.

Lastly, due to the new add-on system and checks change, youth in the baked goods competition will have to wait till all money has been received through the MCJLS. Checks will then be given out to all youth participating in the MCJLS later in the spring. We are excited about the change as this gives the youth a greater chance to be supported by the community.
