From Kevin Starr, Charles’ brother, “As many of you probably already know my brother, Charles Starr, has had multiple surgeries on his right foot with the last one being Dec. 6 following complications from diabetes. Charles and Rose’s group of friends and family are doing a benefit to help them with medical bills and cost of living expenses while he is not able to work during recovery. It is unclear when he will be able to go back to work in any form whether it be light duty or fully back to work. We are praying short term, but he also needs to heal completely so that this is behind him.”
A benefit for the Starr family will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15 at Brookshire Brothers. Pulled pork sandwiches, chips and a drink will be $10. There will also be a bake sale. Monetary donations can be made at Rockdale Federal Credit Union or you can call Kevin Starr at 512-760-0166.
