Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library’s First Friday Coffee, sponsored by Main Street Bookshop, attracted over 200 people and featured six local authors signing books as well as El Camino Real de los Tejas Traveling Exhibit, the Rockdale Historical Society’s posters of Rockdale’s earliest pioneers and a talk by Dr. John Pruett dressed as Father Isidro Espinoza in Domingo Ramon’s New Road to Texas, 1716 with a special interest in Milam County’s segment of the El Camino Real. Friday there will be six more authors presented from 9 to 11 a.m.
