CAMERON—Milam County Judge Steve Young told county commissioners Tuesday that Bitmain is considering making its Dory Creek (former Alcoa smelter) cryptocurrency facility its repair headquarters for all its North American operations.
“This would be huge, if it happens,” Young said.
Bitmain is the largest manufacturer of cryptocurrency mining hardware in the world. Its Antminer machines are viewed as the standard.
