A blood drive is scheduled for Saturday at the Milano Volunteer Fire Department. GOLF TOURNEY— Milano Lodge No. 605 is set to host its 20th annual scholarship golf tournament on June 5 at the Cameron Country Club. Event is set to start at 9 a.m. To sign up, contact Kain Dodd at 979-436-5723.
All proceeds will go to the club’s annual scholarships given to graduating seniors.
UPCOMING SPORTS CAMPS—There are several sports summer camps taking place at Milano ISD in the coming weeks.
• There will be a Milano basketball camp on May 31 to June 3 for students entering seventh through night grades. The boys’ camp will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. and the girls’ camp is from 12-noon to 2 p.m.
Camp is free and will be held at the high school gym. For more information, contact boys coach Lee Essman and girls coach Stacey Compton, both at 512-455-9333.
• Milano softball camp is June 8-10 at the Milano softball field and will be hosted by former Texas A&M softball player Lexi Smith. Cost is $30 per camper and includes a T-shirt if registered by May 28.
Pre-K to third graders are from 9 to 10 a.m., fourth through seventh grades 10 to 11:30 a.m. and eight to 12th grades 12-noon to 2 p.m. Players from any school may attend.

• The first ever Milano youth football camp will be held June 8-10 at the football field. Deadline for registration is May 18 and camp cost $15 per player. Late registration will be accepted but will not guarantee a camp shirt.
The camp is open to incoming first through eighth graders. Third through fifth graders will meet 8 to 10 a.m., first and second graders are there 10:30 to 12-noon and sixth through eighth graders have camp 12:30to 2:30 p.m. each day.
• Freshman football camp will be held for incoming freshmen July 26-27. Cost is free and the camp will be held from 8to 11 a.m. both days.
The camp will provide instruction, competitive drills and activities to get a jump start on the upcoming season. For addition information on either of the football camps, contact head coach Nick Morehead, 979-204- 2565.
