A book signing and presentation by Dr. Dennis Brooks, longtime Rockdale pastor and educator, is set for the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library at 6 p.m. Thursday.
“A Church Named Ruth” by Dr. Brooks is about the book of Ruth in the Old Testament.
Dr. Brooks is the senior pastor and founder of New Jerusalem Interdenominational Church, the founder and president of the Institute for Teaching God’s Word Theological Seminary and the American Academy of Crisis Counseling.
Librarian Melanie Todd said the free event will be catered by Sho’ Nuff Soul Food.
