Budget, tax rate passed

The Rockdale City Council was finally able to pass annual budget during a second reading of the ordinance adopting the budget beginning Oct. 1, 2024, through Sept. 30, 2025, by roll call vote on Monday night.

Also passed was the new tax rate of 0.85. City Manager Tim Kelty called the budget “balanced and lean.”
