Workers with Big Creek Construction built walkways last week for businesses along a stretch of US 79 in downtown Rockdale. Store-front sidewalks have been removed so that water lines can be put down and the walkways were built to help customers of the businesses safely navigate entrance into the businesses. Work to install the water lines is set to begin in the near future.
