Malda Burns will get free monthly desserts for one year as the winner of a Matinee Musical Club fund-raiser.
The “dessert of the month” fund raiser concluded with a drawing Friday during the First Friday Get-Together at the city library.
The fund-raiser benefits the club’s annual scholarship which is presented each Awards Night at Rockdale High School.
Over $1,000 was raised toward the scholarship.
On hand for Friday’s drawing were: Lee Thomason; Leah Thomason, fund raiser chair; Jo Ann Bradford; Gloria Walker, treasurer; Annette Griesbach, president; Mona Butala and Victoria St. John-Everett.
The Matinee Musical Club is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs.
