POLICE REPORT

The arrest of a 27-year-old Taylor man on Friday cleared a burglary in late May at a downtown business, according to Rockdale police.

Lt. Stephen Goodrich said a number of items, including car keys, were removed after a tarp was cut at Contes Automotive.

Seth Patrick Leland was charged with burglary of a building. He was released after posting $6,000 bond.

Goodrich said most of the items were recovered.

ARRESTS—Other felony arrests during the past week:

• Randi Box Rogers, 49, Rockdale, theft of property (less than $2,500) with two or more previous convictions, released on $5,000 bond.

• Stephanie Rae Booker, 37, Rockdale, bail jumping/failure to appear, forgery of financial instrument, in custody, no bond on forgery charge, $10,000 bond on other charge.

OFFENSES—Offense investigations begun during the past week included assault of family member, vehicle burglary, criminal mischief and theft.

ACCIDENT—There was one traffic accident reported during the past week.

Police said an 8:35 a.m. Thursday accident in the 2100 block of Post oak involved a vehicle hitting a tree.

Driver was listed as Tomas Luna of Rockdale. No injuries were reported and damage estimates were not available.

CITATIONS—Police issued 35 citations during the week including 20 for speeding, four for driving while license invalid, three for displaying expired registration, two for public intoxication and one each for disorderly conduct, failure to yield at intersection, failure to maintain financial responsibility and possession of drug paraphernalia.

SERVICE CALLS—Officers responded to 136 calls for service during the past week and there were 90 calls received at the police station through the 911 system.
