Cameron Yoe High School graduating senior Heath Hollas has received the $750 Bill Vogelpohl Scholarship, which is presented every year through the Rockdale Fair Association.
Hollas graduated in May.
He is the son of Gery and Theresa Hollas and plans to attend Baylor University.
His major is business.
Vogelpohl, a Rockdale resident and businessman, was instrumental in founding the Rockdale Fair Association, which began in 1976.
He served the first three terms as the Fair Association’s president.
Vogelpohl died in 2015.
The scholarship is given every year by Janell Vogelpohl, Sandy (Vogelpohl) Neuendorff and Cindy Vogelpohl.
