POLICE REPORT

A chase down the center turn of Cameron Avenue (US 79) on Monday ended with the arrest of a 61-year-old Caldwell man.

Lt. Stephen Goodrich said police received a report of an eastbound driver speeding and driving erratically in the center lane in the vicinity of Tractor Supply.

Ofc. Michael Hubnik pursued the pickup to the vicinity of Wilcox Street while Police Chief Thomas Harris and Goodrich also responded.

“He got boxed in by traffic and we were able to reach in and turn off the ignition,” Goodrich said.

Stanley Phillip was charged with evading arrest/detention with vehicle and DWI-other than alcohol.

FELONIES—Police made two felony arrests during the week as follows:

• Amber Denise Nelson, 24, Rockdale, motion to proceed tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair, released on $5,000 bond.

• Robert Weston Whitby, 25, Rockdale, possession of a controlled substance (1 to 4 grams), possession of marijuana (less than two ounces), out-of-county possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram), out-of-county possession of marijuana (less than two ounces), released on $29,500 bond.

ACCIDENTS—Two persons were transported from the scene of a two-vehicle accident in front of Pizza Hut at 8:30 p.m. April 10.

Police listed drivers as Reagan Stephenson of Leander and Samuel Washington of Rockdale. Damages were termed minor.

No injuries were reported in a 5:37 p.m. April 11 accident at the Rice-East Cameron (US 79) corner.

Drivers were listed as Shanta Crawford of Rock-dale and Candice Barnett of Burnet. Damages were listed as minor.

Moderate damages were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 3:32 p.m. Thursday at the Murray-Wilcox intersection.

Police listed drivers as Jared Coffield and Sharice Boyd, both of Rockdale.

SERVICE CALLS— There were 161 calls for service during the week and 108 alerts through the 911 emergency system.
