Clouse will be laid to rest Wednesday
Sgt. Joshua Clouse of the Cameron Police Department was killed in the line of duty after responding to a shooting at a residence in Cameron.
According to Milam County Sheriff Mike Clore, “The suspect opened fire on law enforcement officers at which time law enforcement fired back. The suspect was mortally wounded, and Sgt. Clouse was also wounded.”
Sgt. Clouse was transpor ted by AMR to the nearest emergency room where he succumbed to his wounds.
Clouse is survived by his wife, Stephanie, and two sons, Jonathan and Jordan.
A funeral was to be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday (May 17) at Bell County Expo Center in Belton with burial at Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Memorials may be made to The Josh Clouse Memorial Fund at Citizens National Bank in Cameron.
