Capital murder suspect, 16-year-old Jonah Flores, of Rockdale surrendered himself on Tuesday afternoon after the Saturday, Nov. 16, murder of Christopher Flores, 22, Rockdale.
Rockdale Police Officers responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in the 400 block of E. Fourth St. where they found Trevor Everage, 20, Rockdale, with multiple gunshot wounds. Christopher Flores was found in the 200 block of E. Fourth St., also with gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to the Rockdale Airport to be air lifted to Scott & White Medical Center. However, Flores succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased at the airport by Milam County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Gary Northcott.
The investigation revealed the shooting was targeted and was an attempted robbery. Arrest warrants were then issued for the juvenile suspect Jonah Flores for the offenses of capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
“The Rockdale Police Department would like to thank our community for their patience, allowing our officers to focus on this investigation to bring a swift conclusion to this tragic event,” Rockdale Police Chief Meadors said.
