A car hit a deer early Saturday morning. There were no injuries reported in the accident, but the small car had to be towed.
Raul Vega Rodriguez, 23, of Rockdale was arrested Tuesday night on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
In all Rockdale officers arrested eight people through last week.
Officers issued seven speeding tickets and two tickets for expired registration. There were two tickets issued for expired driver’s licenses and police wrote three tickets for no insurance.
There was one ticket given for running a red light and another for running a stop sign.
The officers responded to 220 calls for service this week with 101 of them being 9-1-1 calls.
