The annual Rockdale Chamber of Commerce Banquet will be held next Thursday, April 25, at the New Salem building at Fair Park. Happy hour starts at 6 p.m. and the banquet begins at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Hometown Proud” and the chamber encourages dressing the part in red, white and blue since the sesquicentennial celebration will also occur this year.
This year’s speaker will be 1968 Rockdale High School graduate, astronaut and NASA Research Pilot Ken Cockrell.
Awards will be given for Citizen of the Year, Organization of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Emerging Business and Large Business of the Year. The current leadership class will also graduate at the event.
