If you want to be judged in the annual Christmas lighting and decorations contest, held by the Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center, here’s the date to remember.
Sunday, Dec. 9.
After dark that evening judges will make the rounds and bestow awards in various categories:
• Best overall,
• Best lights.
• Best yard.
• Best whimsical.
• Best animated.
• Best display by a business.
It will be dark by 6 p.m. so please have your lights on by that time.
Winners are invited to the Chamber of Commerce Rock House, 1203 West Cameron (US 79) at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13 to receive certificates and for a group photo to appear in the Dec. 20 Reporter.
