Chamber rocks! Contest begins

Shoppers who patronize Rockdale businesses will have a chance to win a prize package at the end of the summer.

And all they have to do is find the rock.

The rock below this column, that is. It will be at various local business through summer’s end and shoppers will amass points by finding it.

Person with the most points in the Summer Scavenger Hunt will win the package.

Here’s how it works:

• Get clues—Clues to the rock’s location will be posted on the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center’s Facebook page.

• Take photo—Find the rock. It will be in a business. It won’t be hidden. It will be in plain sight and it’s small enough to be on a counter top.

• Post that photo to your Facebook page and tag the Chamber page with the following hashtags: #The Rock, #Shop Rockdale and #Rockdale Chamber.

The first person to find The Rock, each time it is placed at a business gets five points.

Every subsequent “rock finder” at that location gets one point.

Prize package winner at summer’s end will win the prize package.

The Rock will move from location to location every few days. When it’s time for it to move that will be posted on the Chamber’s Facebook page.

Please be respectful to each business that’s hosting The Rock.
