Rockdale Junior High has transitioned after the first six weeks under the new leadership of A. Renee Lee. It is common knowledge that all the nation's schools are not back to normal operations. However, at RJH, we have committed to help the whole child develop into their best version of themselves.

To do that, in the first six weeks, RJH has welcomed 100% of students on campus, assessed where students are standing academically, asserted the new tutorial schedule, completed five positive behavior events and committed to helping the whole child. There are also weekly character development teachings. As a campus, they are on schedule with meeting the campus goals.

As the year progresses the various departments will be highlighting what is going on at the campus. For example, the science department has been doing exciting hands-on labs. The community will be able to read more about those types of lessons. The Tiger community will also learn about social events too. Did you know that RJH has had a dance at what has been named, by the students, “Tiger Island”? In mid-September, students dressed in luau gear and danced the night away. A day at RJH is always fun and engaging.

This year teachers at RJH will focus on daily learning, classroom management and collaboration with special programs in the RJH community. As a result, you will see a more student-centered learning environment. To keep up with what is happening on the campus, follow Rockdale Junior High via social media and the weekly newsletters.
