Milano ISD is collecting certain items for the area’s Christmas Round-Up. Each campus is accepting donations of unwrapped toys, soup of any kind, instant potatoes and canned chicken. Deadline to turn in items to MISD campus is Dec. 6.

ONE-ACT PLAY—Milano Junior High’s One-Act Play will perform their contest play “Persephone” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14.

PROJECT GRADUATION—The Milano Project Graduation group announced the winners of its raffle fund-raiser at Friday night’s football game. Prize winners were: Tisha Jones, sea foam green RTIC 45 cooler; Linda Gifford, handmade solid oak cutting board; Morris Popham, tabletop patio heater with a textured steel bronze finish; Georgia Jutson, a handcrafted fall wreath; and Clint McMahon, a $50 gift card.

The group has announced its next fund-raiser as well. Personalized Santa letters will be available to order through Dec. 3. The letters are $6 each and will be printed on quality Christmas-themed paper with a coordinating envelope addressed to each child and postmarked from the North Pole. There are several formats to choose from and will be customized for children of all ages.

BOX TOPS—Milano Elementary School is collecting Box Tops for Education again this school year and there are several that can be found on all those items you use during the holiday baking season. Those little coupons equal free money for our school and students. Let me know if you need me to swing by and pick them up, or you can send them to Milano Elementary School with your favorite student.
