The Lenten schedule at First Presbyterian Church has been announced as follows:
• March 17—9:45 a.m., gather for coffee and fellowship prior to 10:30 worship service.
• March 18 —Church host the monthly meeting of the Matinee Musical Club. Keyboard Melody Makers, under the direction of Dixie Whitmore, will perform.
• March 19—Women of the Church) meets at the home of Leah Thomason, 9:30 a.m.
• March 24—Meeting at 9 a.m. in the parlor, prior to the 10:30 a.m. morning worship service.
• March 26—Tuesday morning Bible Study in Fellowship Hall led by Pastor David Wilman. 9:30 a.m.
• March 31 –Worship service of special music, 10:30 a.m.
Outdoor Memorial Prayer Garden available any time; services at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday.
Early registration for
men’s summit underway
Early-bird ticket prices for the Men’s Conference on May 3-4 hosted by Meadowbrook Baptist Church are $50 until March 21 and $65 after.
Late registration will be taken until April 24 for $75.

Clothing giveaway
set at Crossroads
Crossroads Bible Church is having a clothing giveaway, Saturday, March 23 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Donations received during the clothing giveaway will help fund a missionary trip to Guatemala.

Lenten activities
Peace Lutheran will hold Wednesday Soup Suppers at 303 Meadow Lane throughout the Lenten season on March, 20, 27, April 3 and
10. A service conducted by Pastor Gary Veit will follow. Call 512-446-2834.
St. Thomas Episcopal Church will host an evening prayer 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday during Lent followed by a soup supper at 302 E. Davilla Ave.
Guest minister will
speak at Rising Star
Guest speaker Minister Michelle Larkin of Mount Tabor Baptist Church of Gause will speak Saturday, at a women’s luncheon hosted by Rising Star Baptist Church.
The theme of Larkin’s talk will be “Out of the Ashes.” Register by 9 a.m., Saturday March 16 at 1055 Texas St. for the program, which starts at 9:30 a.m. and is followed by lunch.
