Soup suppers will commence during Lent starting on Feb. 21, on each Wednesday.
Delicious soups and desserts will be served at 6 p.m. followed by evening prayer, drama “Pilate’s Investigation,” and a study conducted by Pastor Welton.
All are welcome.
Rising Star fetes leaders’ 16th anniversary
Ri sing Star Bapt i st Church will celebrate the 16th anniversary of Pastor R.L. and First Lady Margaret Johnson as church leaders at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The Sunday morning guest speaker will be Pastor Deborah Taylor of Lake Providence Baptist Church in Gilmer, while the afternoon speaker will be Dr. Anthony Lang of West Union Baptist Church in Bryan.
