First Presbyterian lists month’s activities

The Lenten schedule at First Presbyterian Church has been announced as follows:

• March 24—Meeting at 9 a.m. in the parlor, prior to the 10:30 a.m. morning worship service.

• March 26—Tuesday morning Bible Study in Fellowship Hall led by Pastor David Wilman. 9:30 a.m.

• March 31 –Worship service of special music, 10:30 a.m.

Outdoor Memorial Prayer Garden available any time; services at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday.

Service project for Meadowbrook BC

Meadowbrook Baptist Church’s March service product continues this week.

The church is partnering with Place of Hope pregnancy help center to collect items for the church’s ministry with expectant new mothers.

Until Place of Hope’s annual banquet on April 13 the church is collecting clothing (sizes 3T and 4T), diapers, baby wipes, baby ointment baby shampoo and wash.

Items may be contributed at the church in a donation bin next to the baptistry stair.

Clothing giveaway set at Crossroads

Crossroads Bible Church is having a clothing giveaway, Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. with clothes and shoes of all sizes.

Donations received during the clothing giveaway will help fund a missionary trip to Guatemala.

Peace Lutheran sets Lenten activities

Peace Lutheran will hold Wednesday Soup Suppers at 303 Meadow Lane throughout the Lenten season on March, 27, April 3 and 10. A service conducted by Pastor Gary Veit will follow. Call 512-446-2834.

Early registration for men’s summit underway

Early-bird ticket prices for the Men’s Conference on May 3-4 hosted by Meadowbrook Baptist Church are $50 until March 21 and $65 after.

Late registration will be taken until April 24 for $75.

St. Monica’s to host dinner March 31st

Cameron—St. Monica’s Catholic Church of Cameron will host a barbecue chicken and Green’s Sausage dinner during the St. Monica’s Ladies Festival March 31.

Location is Simon-George Hall, 401 South Karnes.

The sale begins at 11 a.m. and plates are priced at $10 each.

Activities also include a silent auction, cake wheel and country store.
