Songs for the Savior music event set
Area church groups plan on “...singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord,” Ephesians 5:19 on June 22.
Rising Star Baptist Church is hosting the Songs for the Savior music concert for the public starting at 7 p.m. at 1055 Texas St., Rock-dale.
Admission is $5 per person. The concert will feature the Prairie View A&M Mimes, Rising Star choir, New Jerusalem Dance Ministry, New Hope Women of Worship.
Church youth group seeks sites
Over 60 youth and adults will be coming to Rockdale June 26-30 to serve the Lord in mission.
St. John’s United Methodist Church will be hosting the camp called Big House and is seeking help finding worksites for the students while they visit.

Family movie night at Baptist church
San Gabriel Baptist Church will host an outdoor movie night Friday, June 7.
The movie “Let There Be Light” begins at 7 p.m. at 263 County Road 421A, Thorndale.
There will be food and entertainment. Admission is free. Lawn chairs or blankets are encouraged.
