Baptist church hosts movie night
The movie “Let There Be Light” will be screened outdoors at the San Gabriel Baptist Church at 7 p.m., Friday, June 7.
Admission is free. There will be food and entertainment before the movie begins at 263 County Road 421A, Thorndale.
Lawn chairs and blankets to sit on are encouraged.

Songs for the Savior music event set
Rising Star Baptist Church is hosting the Songs for the Savior music concert for the public on June 22 starting at 7 p.m. at 1055 Texas St., Rockdale.
Admission is $5 per person. The concert will feature the Prairie View A&M Mimes, Rising Star choir, New Jerusalem Dance Ministry, New Hope Women of Worship.
Area church groups plan on “...singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord,” Ephesians 5:19.
Church group asks for worksite help
Over 60 youth and adults will be coming to Rockdale June 26-30 to serve the Lord in mission.
St. John’s United Methodist Church will be hosting the camp called Big House and is seeking help finding worksites for the students while they visit.

Cowboy church ropes in members
Milam County Cowboy Church will host an Open Dragsteer Team Roping event after church Sunday, June 2 at 2100 N. Hwy 77, Rockdale.
Registration is $25 per person. The buckle will be awarded to the high point roper who attends church at 10 a.m.
