HUTTO—A spaghetti dinner and fund raiser will be held at Williamson County Higher Education Center, 1600 Innovation Blvd., from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 26, for Todd Meaker, senior construction inspector for the City of Hutto.

Meaker was in a motorcycle accident on his way to see his parents at Meadowbrook Baptist Church on Sept. 15. The dinner and raffle will go to support his family during his rehabilitation.

A $10 donation will get you a spaghetti dinner with all the trimmings. There is a drawing for numerous prizes with the top prize being a vacation valued at $4,900. Donations are available for $20 and can be purchased the night of the event.

First Christian sets spook house Oct. 31st

The First Christian Church will have it’s annual Fall Fest on Halloween night, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Fall Fest is open to the youth of the community and their parents or guardians at no charge.

They will offer hot dogs, candy for the kids, and their annual spook house.

Presbyterian Church lists fall schedule

First Presbyterian Church is planning a variety of activities for October and November.

• Bible Study is held at 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall, led by Pastor David Wilman.

• There is gathering time with coffee prior to the weekly 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship and Sunday School has resumed for preschoolers through sixth graders as has choir practice at 7 p.m. Wednesdays.

• On Oct. 6, World Wide Communion will be celebrated.

• On Oct. 15, the Women of the Church will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for their monthly meeting hosted by Marla Henson our newest church member.

• On Oct. 18, FPC is volunteering for the Pumpkin Patch at the Intermediate School.

• On Oct. 20: a luncheon with an Oktoberfest-German menu theme will follow worship.

• On Oct. 31, trick-or-treaters will be welcomed for the annual Trunk or Treat celebration at 5:30 p.m. under the All Saints’ Pavilion.

• On Nov. 16, the third annual Classic Car Show and Fall Festival will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Entry fee for cars is $20 per vehicle, plus a bake sale, door prizes every hour, craft vendors, barbecue pork sandwiches and show awards presented at noon. • On Nov. 19, Women of the Church will meet at the home of Annette Griesbach for coffee at 9:30 a.m.

New Jerusalem Church to hold Hallelujah Fest

New Jerusalem Church will hold their free citywide Hallelujah Festival on Oct. 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 103 Mulberry Street.

“This festival is a time for everyone to come together to share in fellowship, games and food. It will be a sweet treat for the soul,” according to organizer Denitra Ride-aux.
