Rising Star Baptist Church fetes the Johnsons
Rising Star Baptist Church will hold their 13th annual Pastoral Appreciation ceremony at 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, to honor Dr. R.L. and First Lady Margaret Johnson.
In-person seating will be limited due to COVID-19, but a Facebook Livestream will also be offered.
Monetary gifts may be mailed to P.O. Box 125 in Rockdale.
St. Paul to hold barbecue fundraiser Feb. 21st
THORNDALE—St. Paul Lutheran Church and School will hold its annual barbecue brisket meal and live auction fundraiser from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at the Thorndale Firemen’s Hall on FM 486 North.
Due to the pandemic, things will look a little different this year. The meal will be drive-through only.
