Peace Lutheran to hold Ash Wednesday service
Peace Lutheran Church is having an Ash Wednesday service at noon on Feb. 22.
Pastor Brunk will be leading the service and the public is welcome.
During Lent, the church will have Wednesday Soup Suppers at 6 p.m., followed by a short devotional, and all are invited. The soup suppers will be each Wednesday in March.
Rising Star pastor appreciation set
Ri sing Star Bapt i st Church will hold their 15th annual Pastor and Wife Appreciation honoring Dr. R.L and Lady Margaret Johnson on Sunday, Feb. 26.
The 10 a.m. speaker will be Pastor Linda Meekins from St. Delight Christian Fellowship Bible Church in Frost, and the 3 p.m. speaker will be Dr. Anthony Lang from West Union Baptist Church in Bryan.
Attendees are asked to add a note of appreciation to their donations, which can also be mailed to P.O. Box 125 in Rockdale.
