David Hankins is the new pastor at Murray Street Church of Christ. Hankins comes most recently from Lubbock but has also preached in Llano and Needville, just southwest of Houston.
Hankins graduated from Sunset International Bible Institute in 2008 with a bachelors degree, and again in 2013 with a masters degree in biblical studies.
He has four adopted children ages 19 to 23 who still reside in Lubbock.
In his free time Hankins enjoys working on cars and has fixed up several trucks. He has run a remodeling business, but mostly enjoys visiting with people and preaching is his favorite thing to do.
Peace Lutheran to hold ‘Bless the Backpacks’
Peace Lutheran Church will have a “Bless the Backpacks” event during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Service on Aug. 13.
Students can bring their backpacks to be blessed for the coming school year.
