The American Academy of Cr isis Counseling in Rockdale is holding sessions for adults called “Reduce Risks of Heart Disease by Controlling Blood Pressure,” which are being conducted by Debbie McNair, PhD.
Classes are held 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays through Aug. 30.
Join the Trail at Meadowbrook Aug. 28
Trail Life Troop TX-1516 will be hosting a Join the Trail event at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Meadowbrook Baptist Church fellowship hall. This is an opportunity to learn who they are and how you and your son can join. Trail Life is for boys 5 to 17 years old.

Rockdale Christian giving away free bibles
Rockda le Chr ist ian Church is starting the mission of distributing bibles to people in Rockdale who do not have a bible or access to one.
The church believes that knowledge of God’s word is necessary for the salvation of the world and our souls. If you are one who believes the same and do not have a bible, call the church at 512-446-2658 and they will try their best to provide you with one.
Pleasant Retreat chili supper set for Sept. 23
Pleasant Retreat Methodist Church will hold their annual chili supper on September 23 from at 5 p.m. with an auction beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The church is located at 852 CR 458 near Thorndale.
