Peace Lutheran Church is sponsoring a Winter Coat Drive to be distributed to those in need in the Rockdale- area community. The church is collecting new or gently used coats for both children and adults.
Don a t ion s c a n b e dropped off at Pruett Insurance Monday-Friday or at Peace Lutheran Church on weekday mornings or Sundays. Also being collected are any small sized toiletries, such as those from hotels for local nursing home residents. Last day to drop off is Dec. 15.
Meadowbrook Baptist Christmas services
Meadowbrook Baptist Church will have services at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24. This service will also be broadcast live on KRXT 98.5 and on their Facebook and You-Tube pages.
Sunday evening, their annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is at 6. This will also be broadcast live.
“We would like to invite everyone to come and join us for this special service. Bring the entire family as we worship and remember the reason this baby came to be, he came to live, die, raise again, all for the love of God’s creation. For you and me. Join us as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” Pastor Steve Ammons said.
Connect Church Christmas services
Connect Church will have three opportunities to worship and celebrate Jesus this Christmas.
Sunday morning, Dec. 17, at 10:30 a.m., there will be a Christmas message along with a special children’s sermon in which each child gets a Christmas swag bag.
There will be a breakfast taco brunch-breakfast at 10 a.m. Sunday.
Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 24 will have a Christmas message.
These services will be held at the Rockdale Elementary School gym on Bowser Street. There is a nursery for every service.
At 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, there will be a Christmas Eve communion service. This service will be held at The Upper Room located at 231 E. Cameron Ave. next to The Rockdale Reporter. All are welcome, come casual or come dressed up.
