At the City Council meeting on Monday night Barkley Lagrone was nominated for a board position on the Milam Appraisal District. The appraisal district has several members whose terms are ending and up for renewal including Tim Arledge, Travis Yoakum, Lisa Gerthe, and Larry Patterson.
David Melton was nominated for a position of the Parks Board as well as the MDD Board of Directors.
Palasota Contracting LLC was awarded two waste water jobs that the city had put up for bids.
RISD’s Denise Monzingo and Rebecca King gave the council members and mayor t-shirts they had designed with the City of Rockdale logo on the front and the hashtag “BeRockdaleProud” on the back. The Be Rockdale Proud hashtag was a design the RISD came up with to promote not only Rockdale schools but the city of Rockdale as well.
