• Parents must not send a child to school if the student has COVID-19 symptoms (see box below) or is lab confirmed with COVID-19.
• Students will be screened regularly for symptoms. Those who present symptoms will be sent home.
• Students and staff will wear a face mask/covering when entering a RISD facility, in common areas such as buses, hallways, the cafeteria (when not eating) and whenever social distancing is not possible.
• RISD is developing schematics for social distancing in classrooms.
• Desks or tables will be socially distanced as much as instructionally possible and there will be little student movement within the classroom
• No visitors allowed in buildings without appointments.
• Students will be expected to regularly wash or sanitize their hands. (Sanitizer provided.)
• Bus drivers will check each student’s temperature using a no-touch forehead thermometer upon boarding every morning. Those with a temperature of 100 or greater will be separated from other students on the bus. Once arriving at school those students will be evaluated by nurses.
