Cockrell to speak at annual Chamber banquet

The annual Rockdale Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet is coming up on April 25 at the New Salem Clubhouse in Fair Park starting at 6:30 p.m. with happy hour starting at 6 p.m.

This year’s theme is “Hometown Proud” and attendees are encouraged to wear red, white and blue since Rockdale is celebrating its sesquicentennial year. This year’s leadership class will also be graduating at the banquet.

Guest speaker will be Kenneth Cockrell, a 1968 graduate of Rockdale High School and a NASA research pilot and astronaut.
