Rockdale native Susan Wallis Cole will hold a book signing and reading from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 29 at Main Street Bookshop.
The children’s book is called Ella and Mac Want A Dog
which is about Cole’s real-life daughters, Ella and Mackinley Cole, who are determined to get a dog. Through many experiences and hard work, they show they are ready to take on the responsibility of being dog owners.
Attendees will receive a gift certificate to 7 Bar Barbecue for 15% off their lunch orders.
Cole is the daughter of the late Jimmy Wallis and Bettie Wallis, and she graduated Rockdale High School in 1986 and was a tennis superstar, placing second in the state tournament her senior year.
There will be plenty of books for sale at the event and in the store.
