CAMERON—Over 100 persons came to the Williams Civic Center in Cameron Tuesday for the second of four Milam County Economic Development Summits.
The morning and afternoon event featured presentations on economic development essentials, economic development best practices, developments of task forces and prospect site visits, solutions to workforce issues and incentives.
Carlton Schwab, president/CEO of the Texas Economic Development Council, was the keynote speaker.
Dr. John M. Weed III, (left) president of the Rockdale Municipal Development District (MDD) was on the program as was Rickey Williams, president of the Milam County Industrial Development Corporation. Next summit is Sept. 11 at the Alcoa Lake Training Center.
