In Monday’s Commissioners Court the CEO of the American Statesman Glove Co., Bill Hart, gave more details about how the glove company operates.

He started out by saying that they were in the process of raising capital and have already raised a significant amount of the $185 to $230 million they will need.

The commissioners also declared the week of Oct. 3-9 as 4-H appreciation week in Milam County. On hand to accept the proclamation were Micah Holcombe and Kennedy Hobbs from Thorndale 4-H.

Fire chief Ernie Glenn from the Minerva VFD told the commissioners about their fundraising plans to get a fire truck fixed they bought in September.
