COVID-19 took another Milam County resident last week lifting the county’s death toll to 11.
The county’s positivity rate is up to 27% while the county’s number of cases has returned to its record high.
There are currently 142 cases in the county.
THE NUMBERS— COVID-19 cases this week have been measured Wednesday to Tuesday.
• Cumulative cases – 825, up 54 from 771.
• Active cases (PCR test) – 63, which is up 10 from last week’s 53.
• Confirmed (antigen) cases – 484, up 74 from 410.
• Hospitalized – 11, no change.
• Deaths – 11, up 1.
TESTING—Free antigen (93 percent accurate) testing continues with the following schedule:
• Wednesday—Milano, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Milano Fire Station.
• Thursday—Cameron, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Cameron Fire Station.
• Friday—Buckholts, 8 a.m. to 12-noon, 111 West Main.
• Monday, Rockdale, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., former Richards Memorial Hospital.
• Tuesday—Thorndale, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Fireman’s Hall.
