POLICE REPORT

Rockdale police said “unauthorized use” of a company credit card has led to the arrest of a 40-year-old Rockdale man.

Robert Edwin Hawkins was arrested Sunday and charged with credit/debit card abuse.

He was released after posting $6,000 bond.

Lt. Stephen Goodrich said instead of being utilized for business reasons the card was used in a “shopping spree” at a local store.

WARRANT—Rockdale police made an arrest Monday in connection with a Williamson County case.

Eric Fitzearl Mayberry, 43, of Rockdale, was picked up on a warrant alleging assault with bodily injury-family violence and interfering with an emergency call for assistance.

OFFENSES—Police said items taken in recent vehicle break-ins included a checkbook leading to forged checks being passed in Rockdale and Thorndale.

Lt. Goodrich said warrants have been issued in connection with the incidents.

Other offense investigations begun by police during the past week included assault causing bodily injury, theft of service, criminal mischief, theft, disorderly conduct and threatening a person in a public place

ACCIDENT—The only accident investigated by police during the past week was reported at 1:45 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Hamilton.

Police said a car driven by Benito Castillo of Rockdale was in collision with a parked, unoccupied pickup owned by Patricia Schneider.

No injuries were reported. Police said damages were minor to the car and no damages were reported to the pickup.

CITATIONS—Police issued 32 citations during the week, including 26 for speeding, five for expired registration and one for failure to maintain financial responsibility.

SERVICE CALLS—Offi - cers responded to 153 calls for service during the past week and there were 90 calls received through the 911 emergency system.
