Sheriff race leads donations
Body

Look at most major intersections in Milam County and you will know there’s an election coming up on March 3.

It costs money for all those signs and other campaign expenses. Candidates are required at intervals to report how much they’ve received and spent.

The first reporting period expired recently and The Reporter’s survey of those reports, submitted to the county clerk’s office, shows the district attorney race has logged the most spending, so far, while the race for sheriff has garnered the most donations.

Donations or expenditures made after Jan. 15 won’t be listed below, but must be enumerated on subsequent reports.

All the Milam candidates are in the Republican Primary.
