It was actually dusk Friday evening when hundreds began to file through the new Tiger Stadium but the concept was the same. The open house, on Rockdale’s open date, marks the beginning of a new era, not only for RHS sports but for the community. The $5-million project drew an enthusiastic, happy crowd for the first public viewing of a project that’s been the talk of the town since it was announced last winter. Tiger fans will get to sit in those new seats “for real” this Friday when Rockdale hosts Manor New Tech in the delayed home opener. More open house coverage on page 7A.
