With summer coming on, The Rockdale Reporter is going to have an occasional feature on day trips individuals, families or groups of friends can take to get away to explore history, a zoo or just something new and fun to do. The first will be a visit to the “Philadelphia of Texas,” also known as Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site, for a trip back in time that is less than two hours away. Reporter/David Money
