—The Milam County Historical Commission receive the Texas Historical Commission’s Distinguished Service Award, presented to only 80 of the state’s 254 counties. It was presented Monday to MCHC Chair Lynn Young by County Judge Steve Young. Brooks said The group is indebted to past Judge David Barkemeyer, Judge Young and the county commissioners for their continued support.
