On Monday evening, representatives from Hochheim Prairie Insurance Branch 142 (Pruett Insurance) awarded six Milam County volunteer fire departments (Rockdale, Cameron, Milano, Thorndale, Gause and Buckholts) with checks of $500 for each department to help with various costs needed to keep their respective departments up-and-running.
