—What does the Rock-dale VFD get when it gets two calls essentially at the same time? Answer them both, professionally and quickly, and take care of the situations. That’s what happened at 1:59 and 2:02 p.m. last Wednesday. Firefighters answered a pair of calls involving power lines in the 500 block of Evelyn (L) and near the Hogan-Alcoa corner. No major problems were reported at either location.
