The Rockdale Downtown Association got some help from Chad Harris with Whinstone US over the weekend filming in the downtown area for use in Rock-dale’s entry application for HGTV’s Home Town Takeover contest. Harris used a drone to take pictures from above, and a hand-held camera to interview some local students on their thoughts about Rockdale. On the left is Creek Windham, RHS sophomore, talking about growing up in Rockdale and what the town means to him. On the right is Milano eighth-grader Toni Meyer speaking about what she would like to happen in the downtown area and her thoughts on moving back to the area after college. Deadline for the HGTV contest is Feb. 7.
