Jocelyn and Rodney Lewis had a dream for over a year that has finally come true. Jocelyn sent out a message asking people, “What are some things that make you think of Rockdale?” She got a list “a mile long.”. When she contacted the artist, Amanda Bexley, “Her enthusiasm matched my own about this project. I’d like to thank Amanda for bringing my vision to life.” The Lewis’ run Rockdale Signs and Photography, located at the corner of Cameron Avenue and Burleson Street. Amanda Bexley is from Thorndale and is the wife of head basketball coach Michael Williams at Thorndale High School. This beautiful new addition is located on the Burleson side of the building and is ready for all Rockdalians to have their picture taken in front of the creation. This is such a lovely addition to the beautification to Rockdale’s downtown.
