SHERIFF’S REPORT
The Milam County Sheriff’s Department launched its newly-acquired drone Friday night, guiding officers from four agencies to apprehend a fugitive in thewoods near Cameron.
Delvin DeWayne Johnson, 48, of Cameron, wanted for violating his attempted murder parole, was located and arrested.
Cameron Police Chief Lonnie Gosch said the fugitive was initially being pursued by two PD officers, then fled into the woods.
Also assisting in the search were the DPS and several Texas game wardens who “made the apprehension without further incident,” Gosch said.
Johnson remains in the county jail. Bond was denied on the parole violation.
