Drug arrests followed a pair of traffic stops in Rockdale during the past week.
Lt. Stephen Goodrich said 56-year-old Mario Balderas of Rockdale was arrested Sunday and charged with possession of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams).
Goodrich said the arrest involved methamphetamine.
Balderas was released after posting $1,500 bond.
A variety of drug charges were filed Saturday against a 24-year-old Killeen woman after a traffic stop.
Elizabeth Kay Huddleston, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (less than 20 analog units), possession of controlled substance (1 to 4 grams), possession of controlled substance (3 to 28 grams), possession of marijuana (less than two ounces).
She was also arrested on a parole violation. No bond was set on the parole violation, with $18,500 bond on the other charges.
ACCIDENT—The week’s only traffic accident inside the city limits of Rockdale was a three-vehicle crash at 10:13 a.m. Saturday in front of Lee’s Landing, 313 West Cameron (US 79).
Police listed drivers as Terri Sandoval of Rockdale, Martha Henry of Cameron and Cristie Buck of Cameron.
Extensive damages were reported for the Sandoval and Henry vehicles and minor damage to the Buck vehicle.
The Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department and an AMR ambulance crew responded to the scene.
INCIDENTS—Incidents investigated by police during the past seven days included public intoxication, assault threatens bodily injury, assault causes bodily injury and assault by contact.
Police made two arrests on out-of-county warrants and one on a Milam County Sheriff’s Department warrant.
CITATIONS—Pol ic e issued three citations during the week, all for violation of city ordinances.
SERVICE CALLS— During the week, officers responded to 148 calls for service and there were 88 calls received through the 911 emergency dispatch at the Rockdale Police Department.
